I can hardly believe that I’m writing this, having somehow blogged every single day in 2018.
I hope you’ve enjoyed it – because I have.
And I’ve learned a lot…but New Years Eve isn’t the time to talk about that.
New Years Eve is the time for only one thing: celebration.
Whatever you do today, wherever you go, whoever you’re with, take some time to acknowledge and appreciate.
Life isn’t black and white. Therefore, it really isn’t good enough to brush this aside and say you’ve just had a crap year in which nothing good happened.
Something good did happen. You’re just missing it.
Are you fortunate to have a person or people in your life? Have you worked with some kind or insightful colleagues? Did something great happen career-wise or life-wise? Are you finishing the year closer to a goal post than you were 12 month back? Have you improved personally or professionally in some way? Have you given help to friends or loved ones when they needed it? Have you shared in experiences that you know you’ll remember in a decades’ time.
Ask yourself these questions be answer them honestly, like a true friend would.
Enjoy every last bit of joy and goodness from 2018. Once it’s done, it’s done. No do-overs or take-backs.
And with that I’ll pass you on to Oprah Winfrey, for the last words of 2018:
