After a year of continuous blogging, you may have noticed that I took a couple of days off. As much as I’ve enjoyed the process of writing on here daily – and as much as I’ve learnt a lot about myself along the way – it’s been pretty tough to keep it up without any breaks.Â
Therefore, in the interest of re-balancing, I’ll be aiming to stick to a schedule of two or three blogs weekly. And at some point (maybe when I’m finally granted that extra day in the week) I’ll attempt to organise the blogs on the site via categories, making things a little clearer. Watch this space! 🙂
For now, I just wanted to say this:
Happy New Year…
but remember, it’s just another day!
My social media has been flooded in the last few days with lengthy posts from people detailing the highs and lows of the previous year, anticipating year ahead and setting goals to ‘smash’ in 2019. And there’s nothing wrong with this!
Just beware of unrealistic expectations…
Remember that you don’t wake up a different person on January 1st, complete with an unlimited supply of confidence, willpower and motivation.
Yes – January 1st can bring with it a sense of hope and excitement. But it’s also just another Tuesday. And you’re still the same old you. And that’s okay!
Because just as I said on January 1st, last year, “Every day is a new life to a wise man”. In fact, every moment can be.
So the fact that it’s a new year really doesn’t have to matter at all.
If you’re looking to make a change, you don’t need to wait for any set date or time. Just make a decision, and away you go!
