Eat Colour

I’m sure that most people who know me would all agree – I’m more than a bit simple sometimes. Hey ho, we all have our quirks right? As such, I work best with a small number of clear, concise instructions.

One of the simplest and most effective examples of this, helps when it comes to my diet. Essentially, I try to eat food that has been messed with (processed) as little as possible.

And to simplify even further: eat colourful foods.

With the exception of Jelly babies and Smarties, I find that mostly when I’m eating processed junk, it’s beige in colour. When I eat this kind of food, especially if it lasts for any duration, this is exactly how I feel: beige, dull, lacking in vibrancy. My mood falls along with my energy levels.

In contrast, when I’m eating lots of whole foods, I see every colour of the rainbow.

And more importantly, I feel colourful.
