One of my favourite quotes is from Dale Carnegie:
“Everyday is a new life to a wise man.”
This never rings truer than on January 1st, when the open door of a new year promises new opportunities, possibilities, adventures.
But it’s no less applicable on any other day of the year. In fact, this quote has become more like a motto for me over the past decade. It serves to remind me that at any given point in time, I can make a decision and change my body language, actions, tone of voice, thoughts and perception of a situation.
A simple choice and a little self-awareness can turn any bad moment into a good one.
